The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the management and implementation of digital marketing strategies, optimizing marketing tactics across all digital channels and ensuring compliance with the Cannabis Act. In addition, the Digital Marketing Specialist will oversee the day-to-day implementation of all digital touchpoints and channels, from social to email to landing pages across our recreational brands, farmgate retail store and medical marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute email and social media calendars for all brands.
  • Coordinate in-house content production for product launches and brand marketing campaigns with the Creative & Brand Marketing teams.
  • Oversee and execute social media strategy across all channels for our recreational brand portfolio, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Manage end-to-end email marketing campaigns, from development to deployment, and conduct post-campaign analytics.
  • Handle community management across all brand channels, from Instagram to Reddit.
  • Maintain accurate product listings, including descriptions and specifications, across all relevant platforms.
  • Capture content for social media platforms.
  • Provide comprehensive analytical reporting of campaign performance, identifying key insights and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor project statuses with vendors and internal teams across all digital campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and creative direction by managing content across different platforms and brands.
  • Fulfill any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned, contributing flexibly and proactively to the team's objectives and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in digital marketing, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, email marketing software, and analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Proficiency in using Adobe suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with Shopify and WordPress platforms would be considered an asset.
  • Strong copywriting abilities & comprehension of CMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the Cannabis Industry, including Cannabis Act regulations, with a clear passion for the recreational and medical cannabis industry in Canada.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments, and collaborate effectively while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to drive digital marketing initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize campaign performance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving industry regulations and market trends.
