Position: Shipper/Receiver

Location: Surrey, BC

Work schedule: Monday- Friday

Rate: $21.03/hr.

First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, has an exciting opening for a Shipper / Receiver at our Surrey BC. branch. The Shipper/ Receiver will maintain a clean and well manicured warehouse and document inventory that both comes in and out of the branch. We believe in TRAINING our employees and PROMOTING from within the organization, creating a culture that believes in fostering a better tomorrow.

Compensation Plan

• Competitive base wage $21.03/ hour.
• Shift premiums ( depends on shift) and overtime pay

Primary Job Functions

• Shipping, receiving, documentation, and inventory of products incoming and outgoing from the warehouse.
• Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in inventory counts.
• Attend all training sessions to update technical knowledge.
• Drive company vehicle to receive and deliver parts when required.
• Proven record of following safety procedures, provincial/federal legislation, and company policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in shipping / receiving.
• Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
• Excellent Computer skills to maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, and other computer work that may be required.
• Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
• Hold and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Forklift experience is an asset (training will be provided).
