Position Summary

As a Project Manager you will manage construction projects from a business perspective. You will work closely with the Construction Superintendent throughout the construction process to deliver the best building and service possible for our clients. You will be responsible for the on-time completion of a quality project, maximizing efficiency, controlling costs, and building relationships with every person involved in the project.

As a Project Manager your key accountabilities will involve:

  • Review documents, project drawings, contracts, and specifications in detail and inform the appropriate team about potential issues or conflicts.
  • Plan and manage daily operations and construction schedules while monitoring project progress.
  • Monitor expenditures effectively, review invoices in detail, and manage labour and material costs according to the project budget and underlying estimate.
  • Prepare contracts and confidently negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
  • Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants and sub-contractors.
  • Train and mentor Project Coordinators.

As a Project Manager your experience and qualifications will include:

  • 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably with a general contractor.
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with commercial, multi-family residential, and industrial construction.
  • Post-secondary education in Construction or Project Management
