Responsibilities:
  • Interact and work with various departments within the firm to reconcile differences and calculate pieces critical to the finance
  • Perform general finance duties for the including reconciliations, accruals, cost centre allocations and journal entries.
  • Daily maintenance and management of client accounts
  • Develop, enhance, and improve internal management reporting by identifying process inefficiencies
  • Preparation of working papers including key GL account reconciliations to support month end, and year end close processes.
  • Assist with internal controls implementation.
  • Support internal and external year-end audits.
  • Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries for transactions such as cash, debt, management fees, and expenses.
  • Ad-hoc projects and administrative/accounting duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS; Business/Econ with emphasis in finance/accounting preferred.
  • 3+ years of finance related experience such as financial analysis, corporate finance/accounting, or public accounting
  • Experience with capital markets preferred including futures, options, and margin accounts
  • Financial or securities industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts and terminology to complete daily tasks with accuracy.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel (eg. Pivot tables, Power Pivot/Query, VLOOKUPs etc.), Google Docs and Data Extraction.
  • Experience working with QuickBooksPro Online software.
