The Role:

The position of Operations Coordinator is truly the ultimate puzzle-solver! Mainly you will be working closely with a team of Sales Executives and managing their transportation requests. You will be an integral part of the shipping process from start to finish. Your key responsibilities would include identifying shipment needs, collaborating with partner carriers, negotiating, order entry, and most importantly, problem solving. Operations Coordinators are tasked with ensuring things go according to plan or thinking on their feet when they don't! The ideal candidate for this position typically identifies as conscientious self-starters with strong analytical skills, and a knack for teamwork.

This is an in-office position: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM-5PM

You Will:

  • Plan and coordinate freight shipments with our carrier partners using phone and email.
  • Build strong, genuine relationships with carriers built on a foundation of trust and camaraderie.
  • Enter orders into our systems, track, and trace shipments, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to deliver exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Provide quotes and negotiate terms with customers and carriers.

You Have:

  • A post-secondary education in relevant field or relatable industry experience
  • Is familiar with various software's including CRMs
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Advanced organization and time management skills
  • An analytical mindset able to understand current and future market trends.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The willingness to learn the ins and outs of a niche industry.
  • The ability to connect with people.
  • A determined mindset with a go-getter team attitude.
