Annual Salary Range: $ 74,009.08 to $84,153.39

Department Overview
The IT and Digital Department in the Museum Operations Division maintains all information technology (IT) infrastructure including network, storage, device management, server/application, web, identity and cyber security services. The department oversees several managed IT service providers to deliver responsive service and modern, secure productivity tools to staff. In addition to maintaining core IT infrastructure, the department leads new development projects related to major system upgrades and custom applications.
Job Overview
Under the general direction of the Senior Technical Analyst, the Digital Experience Specialist manages and maintains the corporate Audio-Visual systems for the Royal BC Museum. This includes configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and implementing changes as needed. This position is also responsible for visitor facing, non-exhibits Audio-Visual systems including digital signage, wayfinding and informative kiosks, and meeting and event Audio-Visual components for venue rentals.
This position develops and implements innovative solutions for corporate Audio-Visual including meeting and presentation technologies, digital learning productions, and related accessibility features.
In addition, this role provides service and support to staff, executive, contractors and gallery rental clients related to their multimedia Audio-Visual needs.
Please note:
- Willingness to work from more than one work location is required.
- Must have and maintain a valid BC driver’s licence or equivalent.
- Travel, as necessary, is a requirement. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the organization.
- Occasional work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at heights exceeding 20 feet, and to lift loads exceeding 50 lbs is required.
- This role may require evening and occasional weekend work.
Qualifications
We are currently looking for a Digital Experience Specialist who will bring expertise and initiative to our team. The ideal candidate will have a related diploma plus 2 or more years’ recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Refer to job profile for information about related education and experience.
Experience supporting and training technical and non-technical staff or customers in the use of audio-visual systems, and experience assessing staff or customer requirements and developing audio visual-based technical or business solutions will be an asset in this position.
