The hourly wage rate for this position is $21.50 - $22.50 Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Job Summary:

Responsible to supervise the activities of the Site/Campus Custodial cleaning Team to ensure that the quality of cleaning within Apotex Inc. buildings is according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and any other pharmaceutical, regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to supervise Coordinators, Custodians and Custodial services in the Facility Support Services Department. This includes design, training and implementation of 24/7 cleaning schedules, modifying as required to fulfil business needs. Manages the day-to-day FSS priorities for both scheduled and unscheduled work. Assigns work to employees or makes arrangements for outside contractors, as required, to complete work in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• In conjunction with the Site Coordinator, FSS, supervises the site: ○ Pest Control program
○ Pharmaceutical and regular Waste Disposal program
○ Recycling program
○ Maintenance and repair of FSS equipment
○ Ordering and managing the inventory of GMP and non GMP supplies
○ New employee training

• Review and approve FSS documentation (Service reports, Logs etc.) to fully comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

• Ensures that all custodians are trained and understand usage and dispensing of approved cleaning agents they are using. Ensures that relevant SODs are identified, reviewed and maintained to demonstrate compliance with cGMP and Training Records Management policies.

• Key liaison/communicator for FSS with all other departments. Works with customers, FSS staff and others as required to provide service and expertise in ensuring that all Apotex Inc. facilities are maintained in a clean, safe manner.

• Recruit, train, develop and manage effectively the ongoing performance of their direct reports, which includes, but is not limited to: ○ Ensuring their Job Descriptions are reviewed, signed and sent to Employee Services, annually.
○ Ensuring that employees work in a safe manner as per safety requirements, company policies and procedures.
○ Reviewing and updating employee development plans, ensuring that employees are properly trained and qualified to execute their duties.
○ Providing coaching, feedback and recognition.

• Authorizes Overtime and Employees' requests for Leaves of Absence (paid and unpaid).

• Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements and in support of our Corporate Values.

• Participate and lead performance conversations with employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee's progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support and remove barriers; and, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.

• Utilize open, honest, two way communication to build trust-based relationships with all employees, business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personal seeking feedback.

Education

Minimum Grade 12 Education

Post Secondary Education in related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, preferably from a Pharmaceutical or Consumer Goods environment.

Good interpersonal skills – an effective Communicator is required.

Self-Motivated.

Good knowledge and use of various software programs – MS Outlook, MSOffice, with reasonable keyboarding and report-writing skills.

Displays strong organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills.

Experience

Minimum five (5) years leadership experience in a cleaning operation, large facility is preferred.
