The salary range for this position is $58,000 to $65,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day correctional warehouse operations, including warehouse production, inventory control, purchasing, staff supervision, and compliance with contracted safety, security, and health and safety requirements.

This role provides direct leadership to a team of approximately 10–12 employees and ensures that warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company and contract standards. The Warehouse Manager will also oversee the purchasing of products required to support the correctional canteen business while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing stock shortages.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Warehouse Manager, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and support to warehouse employees.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new team members to ensure operational success.
  • Manage the daily workflow of the canteen picking line and shipping/receiving operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure all customer and partner orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped within required timelines.
  • Oversee the purchasing of all inventory required to support the correctional canteen business.
  • Maintain inventory levels to achieve a 100% fill rate and reduce the risk of stockouts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively address supply challenges before they impact operations.
  • Submit packaging changes and product updates as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.\
  • Coordinate and oversee monthly physical inventory counts and ensure inventory records remain accurate.
  • Assist and coordinate partner orders and special projects as required.
  • Support receiving activities including unloading, unpacking, inspecting, and properly storing incoming inventory.
  • Assist with picking line production and warehouse operations during peak periods as needed.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracted safety, security, food safety, and health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are consistently followed and documented.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and cleaned.
  • Promote a positive, productive, and safety-focused workplace culture.
  • Prepare operational reports and communicate inventory, production, and performance updates to management.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • 3–5 years of experience in warehouse leadership, inventory management, purchasing, and distribution operations.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving processes, and health, safety, security, and compliance requirements; GMP and food safety experience is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and operational deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, vendor relationship management, and operational efficiency, with the flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
