- Reconcile Shared Services balance sheet accounts, investigate reconciling items, and work with operations and other teams to understand the transactions behind them, making sure accounting follows ASPE.
- Make sure Shared Services costs are allocated to the correct entities and segments, and reclassify where needed.

- Help prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
- Prepare monthly variance explanations and month-end commentary, turning the numbers into clear insights for management and non-finance stakeholders.
- Build and maintain schedules to track and report on government funding, deferred revenue and related reporting requirements.
- Work with accounting, treasury and operations to tighten the close, reduce manual adjustments, and recommend and implement efficiency improvements.
- Document Shared Services close procedures, accrual methods and accounting policies so the finance team has a consistent reference.
- Support year-end close and preparation of the audited financial statements, and act as a point of contact for auditors on Shared Services queries
