The Staff AI Platform Engineer is responsible for the engineering execution and delivery of technology solutions that support Tangerine's AI platform. This role ensures the timely delivery, quality, resiliency, and operational excellence of AI platform capabilities that support applications, processes and client journeys for Tangerine. The Staff AI Engineer partners closely with business and product leads to align on requirements and priorities, delivering technical solutions that support strategic business outcomes. Reporting to the Head, Data and AI Platforms, this role plays a key part in translating vision into executable plans and ensuring those plans are delivered with a high level of quality, stability, and stakeholder alignment. |

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Technology, or relevant work experience
- 8+ years of Software/Data/ML/AI Engineering experience
- 2+ years of technology leadership experience, e.g. as a Senior/Staff Engineer
- Significant experience delivering complex, high-availability ML/AI platforms at scale.
- Hands on experience with Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG pipelines, and feature stores.
- Deep experience with cloud native AI/ML stacks (GCP/Azure/AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern AI platforms
- Knowledge of AI governance, compliance, security and reliability best practices
