Event Security Guards/Supervisors - Hiring Event

Securitas Canada is hiring for an upcoming event in Downtown Toronto

Position Overview:

Wages: $19.00-$20.00/hr

Shift Timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons, Overnights, Weekends, Rotational)

Event Location: 235 Yorkland Blvd Suite 400 North York, ON M2J 4Y8

Time: 10AM-3PM

Career Fair Date: Tuesday, June 16th, 2026

Dress appropriately for an interview and come prepared! For these roles, you MUST be able to work outside and inside in hot and cold weather conditions, no exceptions. This is for a retail, food, art and public space and is approximately 100,000 sq ft. You must be comfortable being on your feet for long durations of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Access control duties, ensuring only authorized persons are given access to the site.
• Foot patrols when required, ensuring all access areas are secure, walking for long periods during patrols.
• Access control and static security duties, possibly checking wristbands and/or tickets/QR Codes and performing bag checks of visitors and patrons.
• Crowd control duties, providing guidance to patrons and monitoring flow of visitors around the facility and entry and exit points.
• Work with on-site executive and VIP protection security personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods of time
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Security experience in event security preferred.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
• Flexibility to work a variety of different shift times.
