Event Security Guard

Securitas Canada is hiring Event Security for our client! We are looking for individuals experienced in event security but also entry level. Your customer service skills are top notch, and you have the ability to de-escalate and enforce protocols and procedures at the site.

Position Overview:

Position: Event Security Guard

Wages: $19.00/hr

Status: Temporary (July 15 to July 25, 2026, contract position)

Start Date: July 15, 2026 (No exceptions, you must be able to begin working on this date)

Shift timings: TBD but will require flexible availability of days, afternoons, overnights and weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.

• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.

• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.

• Access control duties, ensuring only authorized persons are given access to the site.
• Foot patrols when required, ensuring all access areas are secure, walking for long periods during patrols
• Access control and static security duties, possibly checking wristbands and/or tickets/QR Codes and performing bag checks of visitors and patrons.
• Crowd control duties, providing guidance to patrons and monitoring flow of visitors around the facility and entry and exit points.
• Work with on-site executive and VIP protection security personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Security experience in event security preferred.

• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.

• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
• Must be able to stand, walk
