We are seeking a solution focused and driven Sponsored Learner Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will support the admissions and registration process for Sponsored Learners. You will aid in resolving minor complaints and refer other issues as necessary. You will also be key in providing support to learners on program requirements, procedures, and deadlines. Your creativity and organizational skills will be influential in determining logistics for events and programming.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Resolving minor complaints within the scope of the role and referring larger issues when appropriate
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for application process
  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Verifying the accuracy of enrolment information
  • Providing detailed information to learners on program requirements, eligibility requirements, procedures, and deadlines
  • Receiving and disseminating evaluation materials for review to sponsoring agencies
  • Serving as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance, including providing basic support and general referrals to individuals in distress
  • Collecting data and generating reports on sponsored trainee registration, leaves, and fellowship programs

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years in a related role, resolving minor complaints and providing detailed information to learners on program and/or course requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Experience verifying enrollment information
  • Experience providing support to individuals in distress
  • Demonstrated proficiency collecting data and generating reports
  • Strong process improvement mindset
  • Ability to problem solve and deal effectively with multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and tact; ability and willingness to work cooperatively in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Abilityto maintain the strictest of confidence in dealing with sensitive issues/materials
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Data Measurement tools (i.e. survey software)
