What You'll Do:
  • Supervision and guidance of the Sulphuric Acid and Sulphate Process Engineers to support safe, reliable plant operation
  • Stewardship of Redwater Gypstack Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO), including financial updates, long term planning, and strategy development.
  • Guidance and support of the Turnaround process for the units including MOC stewardship and oversight of PSSR coordination
  • Stewardship of MOC process (closure, approvals and backlog reduction)
  • Review of incidents and support of follow up investigations when required
  • Stewardship of PSM elements including PHA
  • Provide guidance and ownership of Operational Risk Management (ORM) by working with Operations/Maintenance/Engineering personnel to document and mitigate risk
What You'll Bring:
  • Engineering University Degree, Chemical or Process or similar
  • Professional Engineer registered with APEGA
  • 12+ years Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
  • Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
  • Strategic leadership and personnel management capabilities
  • Understanding and familiarity with all disciplines of engineering
  • Solid understanding of chemical process operations and experience with site units, e.g. Sulphuric Acid, Ammonium Sulphate, Phosphoric Acid, Gypstack Operations considered an asset
  • Must be motivated and able to work in a team environment, exhibit strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and have sound written and verbal communication skills.
