RMP Advisors LLP is posting on behalf of our client, a large and well‑established contracting company with a strong presence across the Windsor–Essex region, and a reputation built on quality work, long-standing relationships and continued growth. As the company evolves, they are seeking an experienced Human Resources and Health and Safety Coordinator to play a key leadership role in the continued growth and success of the organization.
We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Professional to support the Human Resources and Health & Safety functions within a fast-paced contracting environment. This role combines employee relations, safety compliance, and operational support, working closely with both office and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain HR records (attendance, employee relations, corrective actions, etc.)
  • Conducts and support interviews, terminations, and return-to-work planning
  • Manage WSIB claims, reporting, and coordination
  • Maintain safety training records and ensure compliance (certifications, expiries)
  • Coordinate safety training and Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings
  • Support incident reporting and investigations
  • Assist with prequalification and tender documents
  • Coordinates proposals and some special assignments projects from time to time

Key Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources and Health & Safety within construction, industrial, or a similar environment
  • Business Administration diploma or degree with HR focus preferred
  • Joint Health and Safety Certification Part 1 and 2 preferred
  • First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of WSIB processes and Ontario health & safety legislation
  • Experience with return-to-work programs and incident investigations
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and administrative skills
  • Comfortable working with both office staff and field/site employees
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
  • Experience with site/shop inspections is an asset
