Job Description:
This position is an assistant to the owner, the drivers and tour guides as well as you would be in training to become a tour guide as well. There will be an opportunity to study and take your certification for a tour guide at the end of the 12 week position. There is a book that does require some self study and on the job training as well. You must score an 80% to become certified.
It is a multi tasking position.
Your responsibility will be a variety of positions that will vary day to day and are as follows:
Help sell tour tickets at Port Charlottetown on large cruise ship days and use of an iPad with a pos system.
Assist Tour guide on a tour as needed, listen and learn the tours you do participate in.
Read and learn the tour guide course , Emeritt Tour book will be provided.
Clean mini buses and a van inside and outside. Vacuum and pressure washing, mopping shining, shampooing, etc Completely sanitize in between bookings and tours.
Cold calling businesses with brouchers and business information.
Photo images taken of tours for marketing purposes, video coverage of tours as well.
Any digital knowledge is an assett .
Help to tidy and keep clean bus maintenance building at a different location.
