The Camp Assistant Program Coordinator will provide leadership in the daily activities of our day camp program, ensuring that children are included in all activities.

  • 35 hours per week
  • 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Mon-Fri
  • May 29 - August 16, 2024
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with advertising and promotion of the camp program
  • Assists with staff training week
  • Assists with camp clean-up at the end of camp
  • Assists day camp program coordinator with report logs regarding: attendance sheets and receipts log for grant reports
  • Supports external reporting requests as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

  • Must be a high school graduate with at least one year of post-secondary education (an alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable)
  • Clear and current Criminal Police Investigation Check (CPIC) and Child/Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to attain

Experience:

  • Prior experience planning programs and supervising children is required

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent
  • Education verification
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to effectively handle competing priorities and emerging demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and co-workers
  • Ability to treat information in a confidential manner
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
