Intermediate Procurement Specialists (6 Positions)

Location: 45 Boulevard Sacré-Cœur, Gatineau, QC (On-site)

Job Type: Contract (1-year term)

Clearance: Must hold Secret Clearance

Introduction: The Directorate of Land Procurement (DLP) and the Directorate of Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM) at the Department of National Defence (DND) are seeking six Intermediate Procurement Specialists. These roles are integral to supporting the definition and implementation of land equipment projects that meet the operational needs of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Experience in Materiel Management: At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience within the last fifteen (15) years, performing a minimum of seven of the following activities:
  • Materiel Policy Development
  • Materiel Requirements Planning
  • Stocktaking
  • Materiel Transactional Data Entry
  • Inventory Management
  • Asset Distribution
  • Replenishment
  • Materiel Attestation
  • Materiel Disposal
  • ERP Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience using an SAP-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, such as the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), for materiel management transactions.

Education:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification in procurement or materiel management is ideal.

Role Specifics: * Intermediate Supply Specialist #1: Focus on Badges, Flags, and Textiles.

  • Intermediate Supply Specialist #2: Focus on Operational and Non-Operational Clothing and Footwear.
  • Intermediate Supply Specialist #3: Focus on Operational and PPE/Ballistic Clothing.
  • Intermediate Supply Specialist #4: Focus on Life Preservers.
  • Intermediate Supply Specialist #5: Focus on Weapons and Ammunition.
  • Intermediate Supply Specialist #6: Focus on STANO, Day/Night Observation and Camouflage/Concealment.

General Duties for All Positions:

  • Prepare Recommended Order Buy (ROB) lists using data from DRMIS.
  • Work with the Technical Authority (TA) to establish, verify, and modify cataloguing data in the Canadian Government Cataloguing System (CGCS).
  • Analyze Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) data to monitor supply activities.
  • Plan and implement materiel provisioning and distribution.
  • Set up, maintain, and manage supply accounts in support of Materiel Acquisition and Support (MA&S) activities.
  • Perform materiel management activities in support of configuration management.
  • Monitor supply activities related to maintenance, repair, overhaul, and Equipment Management Team activities.
