Sales and Market Analyst, Real Estate

Job summary:

Reporting to the Director, Leasing, the Sales and Market Analyst, Real Estate will be responsible for forecasting market leasing assumptions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Utilize Market Intel to forecast market leasing assumptions;
• Coordinate information regarding market data, occupancy data at competing properties, expense analysis, aerials, maps, and rent/sales comparables;
• Prepare market analysis reports, including vacancy, absorption and comparable rents and sales;
• Assemble and evaluate economic, demographic, and market information;
• Organize and present data analysis;
• Participate in the implementation and conversion of new Real Estate software;
• Generate Ad Hoc analyses;
• Participate in annual budget process;
• Work closely with other departments on Real Estate related projects;
• Build, maintain and support reports in Excel;
• Establish effective communication with internal departments, ensuring all information is properly delivered;

Qualifications:

• 5 years experience in a similar role;
• Deep knowledge of market area analysis, retail trade areas, and US demographics;
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Familiarity with mapping systems like Carto;
• Detail oriented;
• Good business acumen;
• Highly organized and efficient;
• Strong knowledge of Excel;
• Bilingual: French and English (written and spoken).
