Job Description

Were currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting Clerk for a permanent role with our client in Port Hawkesbury, NS. If you have strong AP/AR and bank reconciliations skills and are looking for a dynamic new career opportunity, wed love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Accounts payable entries
  • Accounts receivable entries
  • High volume data entry
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Month-end support
  • Updating documents and supporting with process improvements
  • Other support tasks as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Accounting; or equivalent combination of experience, skills & education
  • Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting support role
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong computer/technical skills, particularly with MS Office (Excel) and QuickBooks
  • Positive and motivated with a team-focused approach
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic
  • High level of flexibility when working with others and superior interpersonal and relationships building skills
