Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing quality care to our patients. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment where you can contribute to improving the oral health of individuals.

Full time or part time CDA needed starting immediately at Kootenay Dental Arts. We have a modern, progressive & fully digital practice in beautiful Nelson, BC. Ideal candidate is dedicated, organized, good at multi-tasking, and a team player. Experience is an asset, but training with existing staff for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity with a friendly, upbeat team providing patient centered care with highly skilled dentists. Office has CBCT, IO scanner doing full range of general dentistry and implant surgeries.

Duties:

- Assist dentists during procedures

-Will work independently under dentist direction providing preventative oral care for kids and adults
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and manage patient flow
- Take dental x-rays
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements:

-Licensed as a CDA in BC
-Familiarity with Carestream dental software is a plus
- Ability to perform dental receptionist duties when needed is a benefit
