Scrum Master (Int.)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for a Scrum Master motivated to deliver on mandates. The main assignments would be to facilitate Scrum rituals and remove impediments in order to maximize team effectiveness; coach the team, the Product Owner and the organization on Agile practices; foster self-organization and continuous improvement; and manage dependencies and the transparency of progress with stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate Scrum rituals: planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Remove impediments and shield the team from external disruptions.
• Coach the team, the Product Owner and the organization on Agile practices.
• Support product backlog management and the clarity of items to be delivered.
• Foster self-organization, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Track team indicators (velocity, burndown, flow) and make progress visible.
• Manage dependencies with other teams and facilitate exchanges with stakeholders.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• University degree in computer science, management or any related discipline.
• Five (05) to ten (10) years of experience in information technology
• Three (03) to seven (07) years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Experience with one of the following frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, SAFe, Nexus.
• Experience with one of the following tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence.
• Hold one of the following certifications: CSM, PSM I, PSM II, A-CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master
• Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
• Language: French and English
