Are you passionate about product strategy and looking to make a direct impact on the growth and success of a product portfolio across the Canadian market?
Our client, a leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial lighting solutions, is looking for a Category Manager to join its growing Product Management team.
This is a strategic leadership role where you will own the vision, performance, and long-term development of your product category while leading a team of Product Managers.
Your Responsibilities
As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of your product portfolio.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Define the product category strategy and roadmap.
• Analyze portfolio performance, profitability, and market trends.
• Identify growth opportunities and optimize the product portfolio.
• Develop pricing strategies, product positioning, and investment priorities.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from product development through end-of-life.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support new product launches and key commercial initiatives.

Your profile

We are looking for a strategic leader who combines strong business acumen with analytical skills and people leadership.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Category Management, or Portfolio Management.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a team.
• Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, including profitability analysis, pricing strategy, forecasting, and portfolio performance management.
• Experience working in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Full professional proficiency in both French and English to collaborate effectively with teams across Canada.
