We are seeking a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate professional, capable of managing all aspects of funeral service and embalming with a high level of care and respect. This position is primarily based out of our Paradise Row location but supports our Saint John and Quispamsis-based locations, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial services, including coordinating with families, clergy, and other service providers.
Perform embalming, restorative work, and cosmetology to prepare deceased individuals for visitation and services.
Provide emotional support and guidance to families throughout the funeral process, ensuring all their needs and wishes are met.
Assist with the removals and transportation of the deceased to and from the funeral home, cemetery, or other locations as needed
Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations related to funeral service and embalming.
Handle necessary paperwork, including death certificates, permits, and other legal documents.
Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the funeral home and embalming facilities.
Work closely with other staff members to provide seamless and comprehensive service.
Qualifications:
Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in NB, or eligible for licensing.
Previous experience in funeral directing and embalming.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact, empathy, and professionalism.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in computers.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects when necessary.
Ability to work shift work (evenings, weekends) and on-call shifts.
