  • ONSITE role - 5 day a week onsite in Downtown Vancouver
  • You must be legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Salary - $65,000-$75000

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a versatile and technically skilled System/Network Engineer to set up and support the internal infrastructure, lab, event setups, and customer-facing demos. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a mix of networking, IT support, automation, and hands-on problem-solving in remote and in-person settings.

What you'll do :

Network & IT Infrastructure

  • Design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot networks (office, labs, events, and demo environments).
  • Ensure optimal performance and security of internal systems and services.
  • Support IT/DevOps with infrastructure provisioning, updates, and incident resolution.

Automation & Security

  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Use tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for network and system automation.
  • Implement and manage security best practices: firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IDPS), and secure network segmentation.

Help Desk &Device Management

  • Provide remote and on-site help desk support for employees.
  • Manage and troubleshoot devices across platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
  • Endpoint management using Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and Apple Business Manager.

Event and Demo Environment Support

  • Act as a technical resource for internal and customer demos.
  • Accompany the team to industry events and trade shows to support infrastructure setup and live demonstrations.

What we are looking for :

MUST HAVE :

  • 2+ years of experience in system/network engineering or related roles.
  • Solid grasp of core networking concepts, including: Network topologies, OSI & TCP/IP models, IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols, switching, Firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, IDPS, and network services
  • Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.

Preferred:

1+ year of experience with:

  • Endpoint/device management (Jamf, Intune, Apple Business Manager)
  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
  • Virtualization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Productivity tools: Office 365, Google Workspace
