We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Team Leader reporting to the Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Department Manager to help us improve our operational efficiency in parts manufacturing at the Manufacturing plant. In this role, you will have a major impact on the efficiency and optimization of areas, as well as on the implementation of best practices in terms of industrial engineering.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage a multidisciplinary team of technicians and engineers responsible for determining and optimizing the sequences of operations required to produce the parts manufactured at Valcourt;

  • With his team, be responsible for leading workshops and carrying out projects aimed at optimizing our manufacturing plant and introducing new models, in collaboration with the manufacturing operations, production start-up and project teams;

  • Act as a leader and guardian of best practices in industrial engineering and production optimization for our various sectors and processes;

  • Ensure the maintenance and sustainability of our strategic "lean" initiatives;

  • With his team, support operations members (production, industrial engineering, maintenance) on industrial engineering concepts and work as a team with them.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • College or university degree in industrial engineering or other relevant training;

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the manufacturing sector, including 2 years in team or project management;

  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills;

  • Rigor, discipline, analytical skills and ability to synthesize;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Strong team spirit and ability to mobilize;

  • Good problem-solving skills;

  • Fluency in French and English to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or unilingual English on a daily basis
