We are looking for a New Product Development Industrial Engineer who will report to the NPD Project leader, and who'll be tasked with defining the assembly requirements in early product development stages. As part of your new role, you will be part of a team of key influential players in the exciting and challenging world of BRP product development. You will also have the opportunity to work with a multicultural team of dedicated and passionate people.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Act as the owner of the assembly sequence in early product development stages:

  • Define preliminary assembly sequences in collaboration with industrial engineering teams located in different countries around the world.

  • Influence products design through DFX and PFMEA work sessions to ease new product introductions in our different manufacturing sites.

  • Adjust assembly sequences and manufacturing bloc layouts simultaneously to the product design evolution.

  • Lead assembly sequence validations

  • Conduct required preparation for validation activities and ensure teams readiness.

  • Animate virtual validation session with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Support physical product prototypes assembly events (P1 and P3).

  • Contribute to NPD governances in partnership with the Project Leader:

  • Translate data into concise information that drives decision-making (i.e. cycle time studies, cost per unit, etc).

  • Identify, communicate, and monitor project risks and create robust action plans to mitigate them before important milestones.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's or collegial degree in Industrial Engineering.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field.

  • Good command of French and English (knowledge of English is essential since the candidate will have to interact on a regular basis with peers located in different countries). Knowledge of Vietnamese and Spanish is an asset.

  • Good command of Google Suite. Knowledge of Catia, 3DVIA & SAP an asset.

  • Ability to work in harmony with co-workers and customers, openness to other cultures.

  • Faculty to challenge the status quo, influence others, generate and propose creative solutions.

  • A sense of urgency and ownership is a must.
