Employment Type: Full-time, Day Shift (On-call as required)

My client is a leading Tier-1 and Tier-2 supplier to the automotive industry, Consumer Goods (beverages) and environmental sectors. Specializing in the design and manufacture of advanced plastic components, bins, totes, jugs, and assemblies. With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and quality.

Their facility in Markham, Ontario, is equipped with state-of-the-art injection moulding machines and automation systems that help maintain the highest standards of production efficiency and quality.

The Role:

Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor with strong technical skills and experience in injection moulding equipment and robotics. This role is critical to ensuring optimal equipment uptime and maintaining the operational efficiency of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting, and is proactive in solving problems on the floor. Supervisory experience is an asset, but we value technical expertise above all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on injection moulding machines and robotic automation systems

• Program and maintain robots used in the production process

• Conduct minor repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment

• Monitor and ensure the proper operation of production machinery, addressing breakdowns in a timely manner

• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency

• Maintain maintenance logs, records, and ensure documentation is up to date

• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability and maintenance practices

• Be available on-call to address emergency breakdowns outside of regular working hours

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all maintenance activities

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with injection moulding machines and robotics in a manufacturing environment

• Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving

• Ability to program and maintain robots (preferably in an automotive or plastics setting)

• Electrical knowledge is considered a strong asset

• Familiarity with TS16949 and/or ISO 9000 quality systems is a plus

• Supervisory experience is an asset, but not required if the candidate has strong technical abilities

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

Work Schedule:

Day shift, with on-call availability for after-hours emergencies
