1. JOB OBJECTIVES
- Responsible for developing formulations and manufacturing processes for products under development.
- Participate in investigating and resolving issues for exhibit batches and commercial products.
- Collaborate and assist in the manufacture of exhibit batches and support the transfer of products to commercial scale.
- Support technology transfer activities for commercial projects.
2. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Formulation
- Draft protocols for laboratory batches of products under development.
- Manufacture laboratory batches of products under development.
- Draft documents related to pre-formulation and formulation.
- Compile analytical data obtained during stability programs for laboratory batches.
- Draft development reports related to product formulation.
- Provide support for products under development.
- Provide support for commercial products as part of transfers.
Other
- Collaborate on various special projects, as needed.
- Participate in drafting or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department.
- Keep up to date with SOPs.
- Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and health and safety rules when preparing and carrying out work.
- Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to this position, particularly those related to formulations in development (unapproved products).
3. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing pharmaceutical product formulations.
- Good knowledge of GMP.
- Bilingualism (French/English) and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- Good organizational skills and strong writing abilities.
- Ability to work in a team and have good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or frequent changes in priorities.
