1. JOB OBJECTIVES

  • Responsible for developing formulations and manufacturing processes for products under development.
  • Participate in investigating and resolving issues for exhibit batches and commercial products.
  • Collaborate and assist in the manufacture of exhibit batches and support the transfer of products to commercial scale.
  • Support technology transfer activities for commercial projects.

2. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Formulation

  • Draft protocols for laboratory batches of products under development.
  • Manufacture laboratory batches of products under development.
  • Draft documents related to pre-formulation and formulation.
  • Compile analytical data obtained during stability programs for laboratory batches.
  • Draft development reports related to product formulation.
  • Provide support for products under development.
  • Provide support for commercial products as part of transfers.

Other

  • Collaborate on various special projects, as needed.
  • Participate in drafting or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the department.
  • Keep up to date with SOPs.
  • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and health and safety rules when preparing and carrying out work.
  • Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to this position, particularly those related to formulations in development (unapproved products).

3. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing pharmaceutical product formulations.
  • Good knowledge of GMP.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Good organizational skills and strong writing abilities.
  • Ability to work in a team and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or frequent changes in priorities.
