We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist (on-site) to join our Human Resources team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and securing top-tier talent for our open roles, ensuring outstanding candidate and new hire experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement creative and impactful recruiting strategies and programs to attract high-quality candidates, ranging from truck and trailer mechanics for our GoRight business, to sales and IT roles for Mirlin Technologies.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial sourcing to offer stage and onboarding, ensuring stellar candidate experiences, aligned with our values.
- Draft and present offer letters to candidates. Conduct reference and other checks. Prepare offer letters and packages.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create compelling position profiles and sourcing strategies.
- Leverage various sourcing methods, including passive search, job boards, social media, and professional networks, to name a few.
- Conduct preliminary interviews and assessments of candidates.
- Maintain detailed records and pipeline of candidates and recruitment activities.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs, focusing on building relationships with high-potential candidates.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and provide the insight and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and improve recruitment programs and processes.
- Utilize data and analytics to track key recruitment metrics, measure the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
- Participate in strategic projects related to talent acquisition, including the development and delivery of recruitment learning programs and tools for hiring managers.
- Organize and attend career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities.
- Leverage Mirlin Technologies software to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment preferably in the truck and trailer maintenance and repair industry.
- Strong knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using Dayforce, Indeed, LinkedIn, and other recruitment tools.
- Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and regulations.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation (preferred).
