Your new role
You will be overseeing the comprehensive development of project scope, budget, and schedules for surface water management within a dynamic gold mining operation. Lead efforts to ensure unwavering compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols, fostering a culture of operational excellence and environmental responsibility.
Leverage your expertise to strategically manage and allocate resources, driving efficiency and achieving optimal project outcomes. Design and implement innovative engineering, procurement, and construction strategies that align with project goals, delivering impactful results while meeting ambitious objectives.
Promote a collaborative and communicative work environment by fostering seamless interaction among engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Define and articulate scope requirements for functional teams, ensuring every aspect of scope, cost, and schedule is meticulously addressed and effectively managed for project success.
What you'll need to succeed
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in mining and project management
- Ability to oversee development of project scope, budget and schedule in surface water management within the gold mining operation
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Project management qualifications highly regarded)
- Registered with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
- Bilingual (able to communicate with clients and stakeholders in English and French)
- Project management skills in developing scopes, costs and schedules
- High degree of business acumen
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects
- Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams
- Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery
- Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and evaluations
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment
