Number of Positions: 1 Experience: 2-3 years Education: High School and above Language: English Wages: $30.00 per hour Start Date: As soon as possible Job Location: Surrey, British Columbia Personal Attributes: Organised, Reliable, Time Management, Team Player, and Flexible Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive Tasks, Physical ability for heavy lifting and standing for long periods, involves Bending, Kneeling, and crouching, Physically demanding, job involves working in a noisy, and dusty environment Job Responsibilities: Read and interpret drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials Build, fit, and install Doors, Trims, Mouldings, and Hardware etc. Inspect end product and conduct repairs or maintenance if required Estimate costs and materials Supervise other workers Job Requirements: 2-3 years of experience as a Carpenter required Secondary School Education required Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.) Ability to read technical documents and drawings Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times Good knowledge of English, and a Good understanding of basic math Good physical condition and endurance Ability to lift heavy materials, bending, crouching, and standing for long periods.
