Role

Reporting to the Division Manager, the Construction Manager is responsible to facilitate for the Division Manager and Project Manager establishing and executing strategic plans, policies and field construction activities of the company related to his/her assigned projects. This role facilitates the implementation of company's priorities and objectives for its team. The Construction Manager oversees and directs projects, sets crew's schedule and oversees the operations and deliverables of Rising Edge Technologies (for their assigned projects) while establishing key long-term relationships with business partners. This role is also focused on the continuous improvement of company's business model in order to maximize productivity and growth. The Construction Manager is accountable for the operations of Field Construction, Field Commissioning, and Site Administration and Trucking personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of project related resources and equipment
  • Provide input and assist the Project Manager with creation and execution of site-specific work plans and schedules
  • Review and reporting of work progress internally and externally
  • Manage overall safety and quality on site and ensuring that programs are being adhered to
  • Manage logistics of all project related assets, required tools as well as materials
  • Review and provide direction of various accounting functions
  • Manage and maintain company owned assets
  • Manage employees to support company and personal goals as well as project execution
  • Manage project specific and client requirements
  • Provide assistance to Project Management Team as needed
  • Facilitate and manage the overall environment for work performance and productivity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, engineering or construction management preferred
  • Diploma in business administration required
  • 5+ years of experience in an operations role required
  • At minimum 5 – 7 years of High Voltage industry experience required
  • Supervisory experience required
  • The ability to travel to field sites
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail required
  • Ability to use general office equipment effectively
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision

This opening is for the Marathon Gold Valentine Lake Project starting June 1st and end in November of 2024

Schedule of 14 days on and 7 days off

10-hour days (7:00 am to 5:30pm). Overtime paid at time and a half after 10 hours in a day as well as after 40 hours in a week.

Travel time to and from site will be paid at base rate, and travel provided by employer from St John's.

This will be a camp based job, all accommodation and food provided.

Starting wage of $60
