The Opportunity

Medavie is looking for a business-focused Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (DAA) Consultant who can translate business needs into clear, high-value opportunities. As part of the Enterprise Transformation Office, you will serve as a trusted connection between Business areas and Shared Services and Medavie's enterprise DAA functions, supporting opportunities from initial identification through delivery, adoption, and value realization.

In this highly collaborative role, you will act as a strategic business advisor, using advanced facilitation, business analysis, and business case development expertise to uncover opportunities across the value chain. You will lead structured conversations with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify challenges, clarify desired outcomes, assess process improvement opportunities, and shape them into compelling DAA use cases and investment proposals.

A key focus of the role is helping business leaders make informed decisions by developing clear business cases that articulate expected benefits, costs, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and value realization measures. You will help quantify potential business outcomes, assess investment rationale, and build the evidence required to support enterprise prioritization and funding decisions.

Working closely with Technology Consultants, AI and Data specialists, business leaders, and delivery partners, you will help ensure opportunities are well-defined, understood, and positioned for successful enterprise assessment. Success in this role requires strong business judgment, exceptional facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, practical AI and data fluency, and the ability to build credibility across both business and technical audiences.

You will give Divisions and Shared Services a strong voice in shaping Medavie's enterprise DAA agenda while helping ensure solutions deliver measurable business value and sustainable adoption.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a trusted front door between a Business Division or Shared Service and enterprise DAA functions, partnering closely with Technology Consultants in AI and Data throughout the idea lifecycle.
  • Plan and facilitate structured discovery sessions, workshops and stakeholder discussions to uncover business needs, align perspectives, resolve ambiguity and build shared understanding of desired outcomes.
  • Build a deep understanding of divisional strategy, priorities, operations, workflows and performance measures to identify unmet needs, repeated effort, delays, handoffs, decision bottlenecks, and customer or employee pain points.
  • Surface and shape DAA opportunities that connect divisional needs and intended outcomes to enterprise strategy and priority value areas.
  • Develop and document clear, decision-ready business cases, including the problem statement, options considered, expected benefits, costs, value drivers, assumptions, risks, dependencies and investment rationale.
  • Partner with business, Finance and other specialists to quantify benefits and costs, assess trade-offs, and establish practical measures for tracking value realization.
  • Elicit, analyze and document business requirements, process impacts and success measures using a senior business analyst approach.
  • Confirm that opportunities are clear, meaningful and value oriented before they move forward for enterprise assessment and prioritization.
  • Help connect and cluster related use cases that address broader end-to-end challenges across the value chain.
  • Guide well-shaped use cases through the enterprise process and into delivery, engaging specialists in areas such as process reengineering, risk and finance when needed.
  • Support sustained adoption and integration of DAA solutions so they achieve intended business outcomes and captured value.
  • Translate business problems into data, analytics, automation and AI opportunities while preserving the business context as ideas move through the enterprise DAA process.
  • Maintain two-way alignment by bringing business priorities, decisions, constraints and feedback to the Enterprise Transformation Office, and communicating enterprise direction, sequencing, progress and enablement needs back to the business.
  • Stay current with emerging DAA capabilities, including generative AI, and continuously improve how opportunities are identified, framed and prepared for decision-making.

What You Need to Succeed

Education: A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of business-facing experience, ideally in a senior business analyst, business architecture, transformation or consulting capacity, partnering with Business areas or Shared Services to identify and advance technology opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating complex workshops and stakeholder discussions, including discovery, requirements elicitation, option assessment and alignment across diverse groups.
  • Strong experience developing and documenting business cases, including quantifying benefits and costs, assessing trade-offs, and defining measures of value.
  • Experience in AI processes, information technology or a related field.
  • Experience translating business challenges and process inefficiencies into use cases, requirements or clearly defined business needs.
  • Experience connecting complex business challenges to scalable data, analytics, automation or AI-enabled solutions.
  • Deep domain expertise in healthcare, government programs and/or insurance, with the ability to establish credibility and trust within the business.
  • Practical fluency in AI, analytics and data, with the ability to explore how business challenges can be addressed through technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship-building and stakeholder alignment skills across business, technology, the Enterprise Transformation Office and support functions.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to bridge technical and non-technical language.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, evolving mandates and a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Relevant experience or certifications in business analysis, AI, analytics, data management or digital transformation are considered an asset.

Language Requirement: Bilingualism (EN/FR) is considered an asset. English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders
