Horizon Health Network in beautiful New Brunswick is looking for a Research Lead to join our team!
Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a collaborative, skilled and committed individual to join our team as a Research Lead. The ideal candidate will have experience in community health needs assessment, qualitative research, community engagement, data analysis and knowledge translation to support population health planning and health care decision making.

Who you are
You have experience in community health, population health, public health, health research or a related field. You have experience collecting and analyzing qualitative data, interpreting and integrating data to identify population health needs, engaging and facilitating with communities and stakeholders, and supporting health care decision making. You have strong group facilitation, knowledge translation and report writing skills, along with the ability to interpret secondary quantitative data sources and work independently with initiative and creativity.
You have a Master's degree in health sciences, community health, population health, public health, sociology or a related field of study. A PhD is an asset. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Experience with process evaluation is an asset. Written and spoken competence in English is required; bilingualism is an asset.
What you will do
- Co-lead Horizon's Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) research, planning and facilitation process within the Community Health portfolio.
• Lead community engagement activities with community partners, right-holders, stakeholders and health sector partners.
• Plan and conduct research and data collection, including qualitative methods such as interviews, focus groups and surveys.
• Analyze, interpret and integrate qualitative and secondary quantitative data to identify population health needs and support health care decision making.
• Lead the knowledge translation and reporting aspects of the CHNA process, including communicating findings to Horizon and community partners.
• Support program and process evaluation activities related to the CHNA process.
• Build collaborative relationships with community partners and other CHNA stakeholders and facilitate group discussions and engagement.
• Work independently with initiative and creativity while contributing collaboratively as a member of the CHNA team.
• Travel as required and work evenings and weekends as needed to support community engagement and the CHNA process.
