JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Facilities Management Service Manager, the incumbent participates in the planning, coordination, and implementation of capital projects within Zone 1B-Beauséjour of the Vitalité Health Network. More specifically, as part of the major expansion and renovation projects at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Center, as well as other infrastructure initiatives, the incumbent manages a project portfolio that can range from $10 million to $25 million annually. The position's primary responsibilities include coordinating infrastructure projects from design through completion, monitoring budgets, timelines, and the scope of projects under their responsibility, collaborating with users, consultants, contractors, and government partners; to participate in identifying needs, planning work, and monitoring its execution; to prepare progress reports and carry out the necessary follow-ups; and to act as a representative of the Vitalité Health Network in projects carried out under the responsibility of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate possesses strong project management, coordination, and communication skills, as well as a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex and constantly evolving environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College or university degree in architecture, engineering, project management, or related fields deemed equivalent;
  • PMI (Project Management Institute) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus;
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in delivering large-scale projects, particularly in the hospital sector;
  • Years of experience as a project manager on projects exceeding $50 million is a plus;
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of issues related to hospital construction projects;
  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge specific to hands-on experience with large-scale hospital construction projects;
  • Able to manage all phases of project execution;
  • Strong skills in listening, communicating, bringing people together, motivating others, and assuming a leadership role in general;
  • Strong ability to identify risks, constraints, and appropriate solutions based on the context and circumstances, along with a strong capacity to adjust and adapt;
  • Possesses excellent knowledge of the measures to be implemented for infection prevention and control during construction work;
  • Possesses excellent knowledge of the health and safety standards applicable to staff and patients in hospitals;
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the general operations of a hospital and the measures to minimize the impacts caused during the execution of construction projects;
  • Demonstrates excellent administrative skills in producing documentation, filing it, preparing for meetings, creating written presentations, and developing work and communication tools;
  • Demonstrates knowledge and a certain level of proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications, as well as AutoCAD and MS Project;
  • Adheres to the organization's principles of continuous improvement;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
