Job Summary
Reporting to the Provincial Senior Manager, Internal Audit, you will assist in planning and executing audit and advisory projects either independently or as part of a team. As an audit professional, you will assist in planning and executing engagements in accordance with Office policies and professional standards. The successful incumbent will assist in assessing the design and operation of internal controls and business processes; conduct audit testing and other procedures; document audit work ensuring confidentiality of information gathered; assist in providing practical, value-added recommendations to management in response to audit findings; assist in preparing audit reports; perform data analysis; and build and maintain strong client relationships, along with other related duties as required and assigned. You may also perform special project work at the request of management or the Finance Committee. Travel throughout the province may be required.
Job Qualifications
Education
Completion of post-secondary undergraduate degree or diploma in business, finance, or other related field accepted by NL Health Services
Professional audit designation (Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor or other) is an asset
Experience
Relevant experience within the last five (5) years in audit methodology and concepts, accounting, finance or financial services. Experience working in a healthcare setting is an asset
Experience with data analysis and spreadsheets
