Salary: NP35 (CAD52.31 - CAD64.92 per hour) plus a bi-weekly pensionable Market Adjustment up to a maximum of $415.35 (currently approved until Feb 28, 2027, with possibility of extension)

The Labrador Grenfell Zone is seeking Nurse Practitioners to support Labrador South Health Centre (Forteau). Interested individuals will be providing standby, relief or additional support to units or clinics within the zone during this period. The LG Zone leadership will work with interested individuals to develop schedules that are mutually beneficial to the operation and the Nurse Practitioner.
Duties:
Primarily responsible for the delivery of primary health care and chronic disease management;
Independently and collaboratively assesses, diagnoses, and prescribes in accordance with professional, provincial, and organizational standards, policies and clinical practice guidelines;
Utilizing a Person and family Centered care approach
Advocates for clients, assessing their needs and if applicable, referring to appropriate care providers, professionals, or other services across the continuum of care;
Recognizes cultural diversity and practices cultural humility; Utilizes, supports, facilitates or participates in research relevant to nursing and the interdisciplinary team;
Will be required to conduct visits via virtual care
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an approved/recognized Nurse Practitioner education program is required;
• Current and continuing practicing licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) is required;
• A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check is required;
• A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required;
• Flexible work hours are available
• Preference will be given to those already trained in CorCare
Compensation:
Employees will be compensated based on individual circumstances within the RNUNL collective agreement
