ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NL Health Services ? Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking a General Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join the team at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment while contributing to high-quality women's health care across the region.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
  • Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell Zone
  • Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
  • Relevant clinical experience (asset)
  • Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
  • Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run Obstetrics and Gynecology outpatient clinics
  • Responsible for inpatient care
  • Deliver telehealth services
  • Perform general obstetrical and gynecological surgical procedures
  • Provide on-call coverage for Obstetrics and Gynecology including weekends and holidays; call shared equitably among the team
  • Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver required services
  • Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Base Salary: $263,672 ? $285,596 plus on-call compensation

Available Incentives:

  • Physician Signing Bonus ? $150,000 + $25,000 top-up
  • Approved relocation expenses with a two-year commitment to NL Health Services
