Planning Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to develop and manage an annual work plan, which will consist of all training requirements, capital and operating projects, and preventative and corrective maintenance work. You will lead the planning and scheduling of all activities to deliver the work outlined in the annual work plan by developing seven and thirty day work schedules. You will also determine the internal/external resources, materials, tools and equipment required to complete the planned work and generate work orders and other documentation to support the Work Execution, Long Term Asset Planning, and Operations Departments.
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and will be responsible for environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with members of various teams;
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
What You'll Need:
You have graduated high school supplemented by the successful completion of a Technology or journeyperson certification with a minimum of eight years in an electrical utility environment with proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and/or project management; or have a degree in Engineering from a recognized university with experience in plant engineering, plant maintenance planning, or project management. Successful completion of the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) designation and/or Project Management certification such as the PMP designation would be considered an asset. Other related combinations of education and experience may be considered. You have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and must possess and maintain an appropriate valid driver's license. Travel may be required.
