SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Weekend, On Call, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the pharmacist holding the operating licence and the Assistant Chief Pharmacist, the Assistant Administrative Manager of the Pharmacy Department organizes, coordinates and controls the non-clinical activities of the Pharmacy Department. They ensure that quality services are provided and participate in developing policies and procedures for the operation of the department in compliance with legislation, regulations, standards of practice and Accreditation Canada standards, as well as Vitalité Health Network policies and procedures. They plan the department's activities based on the strategic plans of the department and organization as well as on identified needs. They are also responsible for human resources management, budget management, purchasing of equipment and supplies, and collaborating in risk management and quality program management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate university degree in administration;
  • A master's degree in administration is an asset;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources management, ideally in a unionized environment, as well as in financial management;
  • Experience in the pharmacy field and training in pharmacy;
  • Experience with management tools aimed at improving quality and process efficiency is an asset;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other software used within the Network;
  • Adherence to the management philosophy, code of organizational values and professional ethics principles;
  • Excellent professional coaching skills;
  • Participatory leadership style focused on clients and outcomes that inspires commitment, respect, compassion and equity;
  • Ability to motivate and engage people and to act as a change agent;
  • Interpersonal skills that foster a welcoming environment, client care and effective communication;
  • Strong management skills, including program planning, development and evaluation, conflict resolution, management of human, financial and material resources, and problem analysis and resolution;
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to use evidence-based data in decision making;
  • Ability to build productive partnerships and recognize the value of colleagues' contributions;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and demonstrated ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assigned tasks;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
