East Hants is excited to offer specialty skill-based day camps this summer focusing on Learning to Skate and Beginner Hockey Skills at the East Hants Sportsplex. We are looking for a qualified instructor to deliver the skill-based portion of the day camps for the following dates:

• Learn to Skate Camp - July 13 - 17, 2026
• Beginner Hockey Skills Camp - August 10 - 14, 2026

Responsibilities:
• Instruct children of varying abilities and levels the fundamental skating & hockey skills based on the outcomes provided.
• Prepare lesson plans for a variety of skill levels
• Set up/take down ice and equipment for lessons
• Maintain a fun and safe learning environment
• Work cooperatively with municipal staff and recreation leaders

Qualifications:
• NCCP Coaching Course an asset
• Strong skating skills
• Experience instructing fundamental skating and hockey skills to children
• Current Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check

Hours: 2-4 hours p/day (time slots vary between 9am and 3pm)

Hourly Rate: $30 p/hr
