DUTIES

The Wardrobe Supervisor will report to the Technical Director and be responsible for maintaining and operating a professionally equipped costume shop for the Theatre Program in the School of Fine of Arts. Duties include purchasing materials; drafting patterns; working with faculty to realize costume designs; cutting, sewing, and constructing costumes; maintaining and overseeing the program's wardrobe bank; and performing other related duties as required. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to develop curriculum, and teach and assess students across four years of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre) program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Considerable experience (3-5 years) in professional theatrical costuming; graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Fine Arts is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of all craft areas of costume construction and design, including pattern drafting, cutting, sewing, dyeing, and painting, as well as experience working with unconventional fabrics. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level would be an asset.

SALARY $65,079 - $76,340 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
