CUSTODIAN I (BAND LEVEL 1)

Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station

Grenfell Campus

(Contractual Position to October 30, 2026)

This position is based in Norris Point, NL

DUTIES

Under general supervision, the Custodian I will be responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties on the grounds and facilities of the Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station. Duties include the effective use of proper methods and materials in order to ensure that buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner; as well as performing other related duties as required.

This position requires availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to learn and apply new skills quickly. No experience necessary; however, some experience with general custodial work (up to 1 year) would be an asset.

SALARY $22.60 - $26.50 per hour (NAPE Local 1809)
