The New Brunswick Housing Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Infrastructure Division in Central Office.

The New Brunswick Housing Corporation (HNB) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant (ASL4) to provide executive-level administrative support to the Vice President and Directors of the Infrastructure Division. This is a critical role that supports a rapidly expanding division responsible for maintaining and improving the provincial public housing portfolio, delivering construction-related programs, and supporting cross-government efforts to address homelessness.

The Infrastructure Division is structured to focus on key areas that are essential to maintaining and improving our public housing portfolio and in the delivery of construction-related programs. These include the Engineering & Construction Branch and the Technical Services and Building Management Branch. Members of this Division include a broad range of Engineers, Engineering Technologists, Technical Service Managers, Inspectors, Building Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Repair Workers, Trades, etc.

The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive leadership support by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and materials, tracking action items, and handling confidential information with discretion. The role oversees high?volume coordination and communication by screening calls and emails, resolving issues, responding to sensitive public and stakeholder inquiries, and preparing, proofreading, and tracking ministerial and executive correspondence. Administrative responsibilities include arranging travel, preparing and verifying expense documentation, producing reports, minutes, and briefing materials, and administering systems such as New Brunswick Opportunities Network (NBON). The position also supports division-wide reporting and project tracking, ensuring consistent communication across the VP's office and Directors. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant maintains organized digital and physical filing systems, coordinates onboarding for new staff, and manages competing priorities in a fast?paced environment.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Work at this level requires education gained through a two-year post-secondary diploma in administrative support, business administration, office management, or related field plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience in administrative or executive support roles. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.
