Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

This role is responsible for supporting the actuarial and risk management functions for the reinsurance product lines.

What will you do?

• In charge of the annual and quarterly in-force extract data updates of the valuation models: setting up Moody's AXIS datalink process, preparing reconciliations and movement analysis, and assessing reserve impacts.

• Support risk management functions, including pricing reviews, Financial Condition Testing (FCT), sensitivity testing, and various risk reporting tasks.

• Contribute as needed to the valuation model maintenance and the annual experience studies.

• Assist in various actuarial projects as they arise.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

• Successful completion of ASA from a recognized actuarial examining board with two or more years of insurance experience.

• Advanced knowledge of actuarial principles and standards, longevity and life reinsurance products, the legislative environment and industry best-practices.

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, take initiatives and accountability in addressing issues in actuarial results by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

• High energy, purposeful initiative-taker with the ability to achieve under tight deadlines in a rewarding and fast-paced environment.

• Working experience and familiarity with Moody's AXIS system.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audience.

Nice-to-have:

• Working experience with R, Python, Tableau, and SQL queries.

• Knowledge of IFRS 17 requirements.
