Position: SOC Operator - Team Lead

Hours: Monday - Friday (On-call requirements)

Rotation 1: 0000hrs-0800hrs

Rotation 2: 1600-0000hrs

Pay Rate: $25/hr

External Closing Date: April 30th, 2026

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - calculation after 88 hours bi-weekly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a central point of contact for physical security operations and incident management
  • Lead and support a team of security guards and assist with operational oversight
  • Monitor alarms and ensure timely notification and escalation as required
  • Complete detailed video review reports for approved investigations and support operational and investigative response activities
  • Manage phone calls and email correspondence related to ID/access control requests and escalate issues when necessary
  • Catalogue and manage SOC inventory, including access card stock and related materials
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed and that provincial guidelines and organizational procedures are followed
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Entry level; minimum 0–1 year of experience in a related role
  • Exceptional IT skills, including hardware, software, server settings, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Business Administration, Office Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and effectively with diverse audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short deadlines
  • Strong complex problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team
