Paladin Security is committed to developing and supporting staff by providing the skills and tools needed for success and high-quality client service. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong security background to deliver in-class training, including practical theory and applied physical skills.
This position will initially deliver Management of Aggressive Behaviour training, with potential to expand into additional courses on an ad-hoc basis based on business needs and branch growth. Paladin Security will provide required training and accreditations to deliver course material.

The ideal candidate will be an existing team member who maintains a regular position as a Security Officer, Team Lead, or Supervisor outside of casual trainer hours.
Job Responsibilities:• Instruct Management of Aggressive Behaviour, ensuring course material aligns with Paladin Security standards, Canadian healthcare best practices, and client philosophies. Maintain appropriate instructional certifications.• Use flexible instructional and assessment strategies to meet diverse learning needs.• Monitor participant performance, identify improvement areas, and ensure course objectives are met.• Provide accurate written evaluations of participant performance.• Maintain a safe learning environment, considering individual abilities.• Provide feedback to the NL Lead Trainer and Branch Manager on course content and offerings.• Deliver training at the Paladin Security office in St. John's and at client locations. Occasional provincial travel to rural locations may be required; expenses will be covered as needed.• Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:• Grade 12 diploma with some post-secondary education• Exceptional communication skills• Minimum of three years of front-line security experience or a combination of relevant experience and education• Supervisory and/or management experience preferred• Valid First Aid with CPR certification
Skills and Abilities:• Understanding of adult education principles• Comfort with public speaking• Awareness of Paladin Security's core philosophy• Demonstrated ability in the safe, non-harmful application of physical control, restraint, and use-of-force techniques
