Job Title: Journeyman Millwright

Pay Rate: $45-55/hr (Based on experiance)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Journeyman Millwright to support operations at packaging production plant in Cornwall, Ontario. In this role, you will troubleshoot machine breakdowns, perform root cause repairs, execute preventative maintenance, and carry out machinery modifications to ensure optimal performance. You will work with high-speed equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and assist with general building maintenance. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe operations, adhering to safety and quality standards, and keeping the facility running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Follow and enforce all safety procedures, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and reporting of accidents/near misses
• Understand and maintain equipment safety features, including guards and emergency stops
• Follow safety and quality protocols
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and parts storage
• Read, understand, and execute work orders accurately
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely (training provided)
• Lock out equipment before maintenance or repairs
• Install new machinery and mechanical components according to industry standards
• Perform timely troubleshooting and repairs on plant machinery
• Fabricate parts as required using welding, grinding, and other tools
• Document all work performed, including parts used, work orders, and repair notes
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced maintenance personnel
• Work independently or collaboratively with the maintenance team as required
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Diploma
• Journeyman Millwright Certificate
• 4-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Millwright
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Automation/Robotics experience is an asset
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
